| Wood allows for several variations in shape, style and material. Here is my design influenced by the vintage military Jeep trailers. This trailer box has been the platform we’ve used to prototype a new tent unit of our own design.
Here is a pop-top style camper we’ve done some early stage prototyping on.
After seeing a few nice wood strip Teardrop trailers and having built a wood strip kayak, I’ve been thinking about wood strip trailer boxes.
Note: Wood stripped teardrop trailer courtesy of Juneadave from teardrop and tiny travel trailers forum. This design is your basic utility trailer with sides and a tent unit on it. It uses a lightweight steel framework with wood or aluminum side filler panels. It has the advantage of being a multiple purpose trailer by removing the tent unit. If you already own a small utility trailer many are easily converted.
Aluminum This is the first trailer I designed. It’s another vintage military Jeep trailers influenced design.
Other We are also looking at galvanized steel sided, formed aluminum diamond plate and molded fiberglass trailer box options.
